We had stayed for several days in Cairo and visited most of the must see sites so we wanted to see something different. We took this tour and were pleasantly surprised to find that our tour was adjusted to fit our specific desires. We got to see the Citadel, mosques and churches in Cairo. We had a nice lunch while touring and everything was done with professionalism and courtesy. Our guide had the caretaker of a mosque open up a restricted area to view the tombs of Kings that had ruled there. We had a great time.

Overall, this was great tour, I'm happy to have done it. The Saqqara, the Pyramids of Giza, and the Museum were the best! Completely worth the money and time! Cairo is not a city where you can aimlessly walk around and see the sights on your own. It's very important to have a guide or be part of a tour, otherwise many, many people will try to take advantage of you and ask for random entrance fees and tips at every point, at each major sight. There are some hidden fees involved in this tour. The guides asked us to switch the order of sights that was originally listed on this tour, which we agreed to, but was not a good idea. They also don't tell you the insane amount of traffic that exists in Cairo and more so in Alexandria. Most of our day in Alexandria was stuck in traffic, which was really a shame. It took us a really long time to drive between the sights in Alexandria. We were also delayed returning from Alexandria. It is extra to go inside the Library of Alexandria. The tour of the Giza pyramids has some hidden fees to beware of. The guides on this tour will not take you into the desert to see the pyramids of Giza, they will push you to take a camel, horse, or carriage ride, which is extra. It is also extra to enter the inside of the Pyramids of Giza.

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Our guide Wael Kamouna was absolutely awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable and caring. He made sure that we got as close as possible to all of the sites and kept us safe from beggars and panhandlers. Wael was always prompt in picking us up at the hotel and made certain we were returned safely. I would do this tour over again in a minute. Wael also found us clean safe restaurants that served us delious lunches.. one thing that other travelers need to know is that no banks or countries will “cash in” Egyptian money, so make sure you spend all of your Egyptian money.

The guide was fantastic and very cool to hang out with! Does going to see the Great Pyramid need any words?!!!
