Lock, Stock & Barrel
This Barsha Heights haunt won our Best Bar Food gong this year for a good reason. You’ve got big tellies screening sports, nightly drinks promotions, live music and pool, as well as a menu of classic bar bites and pub food. It follows then that it also has a roast dinner every Saturday and Sunday (works well for footie fans). What’s great about this one is that you can choose two meats from a selection of beef, chicken or lamb. Your cuts are served with the regular potatoes, carrots, sprouts and gravy, and the promotion also happens to coincide with happy hour, when you get buy one, get one free beverages. Just one thing – get there early or book a table if you actually want to sit down. Dhs129. Sat-Sun 2pm-10pm. Grand Millennium Hotel, Barsha Heights (04 514 9195).

Another amazing Dubai discovery! When my friend told me she was taking me to a rock bar in that part of town, I wasn't expecting this. It reminded me of cool rock bars from the east coast of North America. Designed perfectly with a cool upper deck with extra bar and amazing view. The place is busy everyday and the live bands are so good. Playing rock, alternative and grunge from all erras.

One of the coolest places for a night out! Amazing offers during happy hours! Visit 2: Nachos came after 45 minutes! SAD! Great place to hang out in the evening... Live music and sometimes they have good offers on beers. The Nachos are good and the serving is good. Service often is too slow.

Empty but ‘full’ at 10pm. Perfect place to spoil your night. The manager at the entrance thinks he owns the world. Would not recommend to anyone.

Rocking place for a brunch out with friends. Food is amazing, and they don’t go stingy on you. Wide variety of beverages, funky decor, great food, and very affordable.

Despite being a regular there. Wasnt allowed entry without a reservation. We were treated very poorly by the bouncer at the entrance. Had to leave dejected.
