Beautiful. Would have loved to see inside, but I totally understand the policy forbidding non Muslims. The man at the door was extremely polite. Thank you!

Beautiful, blessed masjed. May Allah protect it. The only thing that takes away from the peaceful and holy experience is all the Jewish military with fully automatic weapons staring at you, making you feel uncomfortable. Free Palestine.

Blessed to have visited this beautiful, historic place. Every Muslim MUST try to visit if you can; at least once in your life.

A beautiful mosque, which is definitely worth visiting, has a beautiful top and windows.

Following an attempted visit in September (where I was harassed by angry shoe weilding children) I finally got to visit this site in December 2015. People were very unwelcoming and intimidating, shouting "Allahu Akbar" for the majority of my short visit. Security guards were very suspicious of anything and always stalked my group for the entire visit. Visiting hours were short and inconsistent. It's a shame that an integral piece of modern Jerusalem culture and society is so closed to outsiders. The buildings were beautiful and historical, but the people really soured the whole experience.
