I visited Reid’s Palace for Afternoon Tea for a Birthday treat. Although slightly pricey it was worth it for the experience! You are free to wander some of the hotel and see all of the old photos, learn about the history and significance of the hotel and even visit the gift shop for some Reid’s blend tea! The service was great, plenty of tea and save room for your cakes as you can have more sandwiches and scones! I have actually had better cakes and sandwiches at afternoon teas I have been to in the UK but this didn’t spoil the experience at all! It was still tasty and the view was spectacular!
What a lovely place to have afternoon tea, overlooking the sea. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous. The afternoon tea was "out of this world" with plenty of tea or coffee, sandwiches (no crusts) 4 different varieties and we were offered more if we wanted. 1 scone each with jam & whipped cream, we were offered more which we accepted, the little cakes 8 different types were absolutely marvellous. Well worth a visit
Attended for afternoon tea and champagne as it was our anniversary and we wanted to do something special. Hotel and staff were immaculate. Views from the veranda were beautiful. My only criticism was that we were told, when booking, that we had to wear smart dress, which we did but other people were definitely in very casual clothes.
Fantastic staff with a high attention to detail. Beautifully kept grounds. Rooms could use a bit updating but still very nice.
High standard of service excellent afternoon tea
