Super clean and nice breakfast. Comfortable and good air conditioner. Some staff weren't that friendly, make you feel like you're bothering them... Otherwise locals call it the ''backpacker's industry''... You lose the friendly feel of an hostel because it's so big, feels more like an hotel...
I stayed at Abraham Jerusalem for almost a week. I was meant to only stay for 4 nights but I loved it so much that I extended every morning! The staff are AMAZING. They were like family to me and I never wanted to leave! The hostel is amazing and all facilities and tours are perfect. I can't wait to go back! The must stay place in Jerusalem!
It's a safe choice. Furniture is old but working. Clean. Breakfast is included and quite ok. Too big for a cozy hostel atmosphere. Staff is helpful but not "happy to help". Activities seem a little expensive but I think they have something every evening. They also provide tourist tours starting from there.
I have no knowledge of the accommodation or food quality there, just that they have plenty of exciting tours and programs for tourists and locals. However, the lounge/bar area is pretty big and comfy, with foosball and pool tables, a couple of guitars and a piano you can jam on, occasional live performances and lectures on various topics, weekly open mic and game nights, annoyingly wide range of music styles on the sound system and the stage and people of all ages from all over the world ready to engage in a friendly conversation. Various local craft beers, wines and other beverages with happy hour from 6PM to 8PM. I personally recommend Shapira Pale Ale and IPA on tap.
Abraham Hostel Jerusalem has it all, if you are looking for a way to experience Israel, meet locals, get information from helpful staff about the city and enjoy exciting events. There is something for everyone, from semi-weekly hummus-making classes to open mic nights and performances from local bands after the weekly pub quiz night. Staff helped us plan our day and we enjoyed perusing all of the day trips and tours that were offered from points south to Jordan. This hostel is recommended to anyone who is looking for a convenient trip and a flavorful stay in Jerusalem.
