The Block is Tel Aviv’s biggest and most serious night club. Located on Salame st., detached from most of TLV’s wild night-life, The Block is easily accessible by either bus or taxi. As soon as you enter, the outside world ceases to exist, but with 3 different areas, each with their own music and vibe – why would you want to leave? First you will hit the main dance hall, there is also a smaller dance hall and a lounge. All these are connected by luminous corridors for you to get lost and re-find yourself. South Tel Aviv – Shalma Road 157
Hidden down a small alley off Allenby, near the corner of Rothschild, Sputnik opened in 2016, and has already achieved a cult-status amongst the Tel Aviv hipster crew as a space to chill, drink, catchup with friends, and listen to good music – including the occasional live act and top Tel Aviv DJ. It’s recommended to book a table in advance, as the place gets packed by 10pm and there are usually large queues outside.
Tucked away behind Allenby, this is definitely a blink and you’ll miss it kind of place – but that would be an epic, bloody shame. With glowing neon, electric lights, the design is the lovechild of a 70’s lounge bar meets 90’s Las Vegas Casino, but posh and upcycled with a nod to the Kuli Alma cool kid crowd meets Melrose hipster vibe. Central Tel Aviv – Yavne St. 31
What can I say? This literal artist’s coop is a not-so-hidden gem in the best neighborhood in TLV, Kerem Hateimaniem. Also, don’t sleep on the art gallery and coffee shop all connected to this epic compound. Central Tel Aviv – Malan St 43 (Shuk Hacarmel)
