Great value for the money with a variety of different and fun sightseeing. The BBQ seafood lunch was great, although the allotted time was a bit too short for the unlimited fresh seafood. The boat cruise was also great, particularly love the in-your-face feeding of the seagulls. The strawberry picking was delicious and visiting the wasabi factory was also interesting. But these visits left too little time for seeing enough of the beautiful illumination. In summary, the tour was worth it!

what to expect

Your exciting day trip begins with pickup at Shinjuku Washington Hotel in Tokyo by coach.  After pick-up, you will be taken to Shizuoka Prefecture where you can walk along Japan's longest pedestrian-only suspension bridge, Mishima Skywalk, to get uninterrupted views of Mt. Fuji if the weather is clear. You will have around 1 hour to stroll around.

Then, you will head to a local restaurant in Mitohama to enjoy a seafood BBQ lunch of scallop, turban shell, shrimp, etc. for around 70 minutes. Pork, mushrooms and vegetables are also available for BBQ. Afterwards, go on a brief cruise on Suruga Bay for another 20 minutes. You can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji with the contrast of Suruga Bay.

You will continue your visit to Izu, where you can pick and eat fresh luscious strawberries at a local farm. Enjoy locally produced strawberries as much as you wish for approx. 30 minutes.

Thereafter, you will visit Yamamoto Shokuhin Mishima Wasabi Factory, where local shops produce many kinds of products using wasabi. While there, you can take a short 20-minute break to shop around. You can buy some souvenirs or gifts for your family or friends.

From there, your tour conductor will escort you back to Shinjuku, where your tour concludes. The approximate arrival time is between 17:30-18:00.
