Initially a very awkward and unfriendly booking experience, which felt at times a little masochistic. The Viator bit was fine and I was upsold to Gold which I was happy to pay for as it was for my partners Birthday. A day later I received a curt and frankly rude communication from the cruise operator informing me that I could not have the Gold package but that I could have the Essential package, take it or leave it, no reason was given and no apology offered. My assumption is that since there was a large group in that section of the boat on the night that they probably booked after me and the operator preferred to take their booking rather than mine.
A couple of days before the cruise I realised that my flight schedule wasn't as comfortable time-wise as I'd originally thought and so politely enquired whether it would be possible to switch to the next evening but very explicitly said that if not I was happy to keep to the original booking. The reply fell foul of a junk mail filter, as did the second one some hours later, when I eventually checked I found two rude messages marked URGENT telling me I could not change my booking and that if I didn't respond with an alternative date my booking would be cancelled. I replied and said I didn't want the booking cancelled and that I'd made arrangements to ensure I would arrive on time. Fortunately they relented and kept my booking live.
When we arrived the staff at the kiosk and on the boat were friendly enough so I can only assume it's just the booking people with a disregard for customer service. The cruise was pleasant and the wine and local cuisine on offer equally so. Although, I did manage to get two fork fulls in to my Swordfish Carpaccio starter before I realised the taste was cheesier and the texture creamier than expected because it was actually a Mozzarella salad. By that time I didn't want the indignity of being told I couldn't change it so I put up and shut up. At 140 for a meal for two, I feel I should have had a better overall experience but have no complaints with the quality of the food, entertainment singing pianist and the cruise itself.

Make your own way to the cruise departure point on the Vltava River in central Prague. Once on your comfortable small boat, enjoy a complimentary aperitif to set the mood for your luxury cruise.
Your boat is smaller than many cruise vessels on the Vltava, with seats for just 48 dinner guests, so you can enjoy a more intimate and crowd-free experience. As you set off, head for the open or partially covered deck to take in the views.
Get grandstand views of the city's highlights, such as Prague Castle, the Rudolfinum and the National Museum, and spy on hidden gems such as the sharply spired Emauzy Monastery. Have your camera ready, too, as your ship sails under the iconic Charles Bridge, and look for the carved stone head on its arch known as the Bradáč (Bearded Man). This medieval carving marked the river levels to warn Praguers of floods during the Middle Ages.
Inside, head to your table in the main salon. Alternatively, if you’ve upgraded, head for the bow area that seats a maximum of 16 people and offers splendid panoramic views of the river. Wherever you’re seated, savor a delicious 3-course meal, prepared by the on-board chefs and showcasing traditional Czech dishes, all accompanied by an included half-bottle of wine, beer or mineral water. See the Itinerary for a sample menu.
Listen to live piano music and absorb the civilized atmosphere as you eat. Then, after dinner, with piano melodies wafting in the air, enjoy an included coffee or tea, or additional drinks from the on-board bar (own expense), and hit the open-air deck. As the sun sets and the city lights illuminate, take in the wonderful views of the skyline sparkling against the night sky.
Relish the last of the vistas as your boat returns to its start point and your cruise finishes.
